Riverside Practice was founded in Koper, Slovenia in 2021 by a team with combined experience in exchange connectivity engineering, quantitative research, and EU financial-software compliance. The founding observation was straightforward: the majority of trading platforms available to active retail and semi-professional traders in the EU either presented stale data dressed up as live, or offered real-time feeds behind pricing structures only accessible to institutional desks. We set out to build a terminal that delivers genuine tick-level data, a credible automation layer, and transparent risk enforcement at a price point accessible to a systematic trader running a €50,000 account. Since 2021, we have onboarded traders and small desks across Slovenia, Austria, and Croatia, completing over 340 active strategy configurations and integrating with 11 distinct broker APIs. The platform today processes more than 4 million ticks per trading day across all subscriber accounts combined. Every product decision — from the teal-modern interface palette chosen to reduce eye strain during long sessions, to the three-level risk architecture — traces back to a specific piece of feedback from a practitioner who encountered a real problem on an earlier version of the terminal.
Small, direct, and honest about what software can and cannot control.
The Riverside Practice team operates from a single office in Koper, with six full-time engineers and two client-success specialists. We do not outsource platform development or infrastructure management — every layer of the stack is maintained by the same people who built it, which means configuration changes and bug fixes do not travel through a support-ticket queue to an offshore team. Onboarding calls are conducted by a client-success specialist who has read your trial data and understands which strategy patterns you have been testing. We serve active traders, systematic-strategy practitioners, and small quantitative desks who want direct access to professional-grade tooling without the overhead of a full institutional technology contract. We do not serve clients who are looking for a signal service, a managed account, or any form of investment advice — the terminal is a tool for people who have already developed their own trading approach and need reliable infrastructure to execute it. Results achieved with the terminal depend on the quality of the trader's strategy, market conditions, broker execution quality, and a range of external factors that no software provider can predict or guarantee. We are transparent about this before, during, and after onboarding.
Not aspirational statements — operational principles we apply to specific choices.
We show feed latency in the dashboard because traders deserve to know how fresh their data is. We show slippage in backtest reports because strategies should be evaluated on realistic fills, not optimistic mid-price assumptions.
We build one product category — real-time trading infrastructure — and build it thoroughly. We do not offer a social trading feature, a news aggregator, or a crypto wallet integration. Every engineering hour goes into the core trading workflow.
Subscribers communicate with the same specialists who manage their account configuration. There is no intermediary. If you identify a data anomaly at 14:00 on a Tuesday, the engineer who maintains that data feed is reachable by the same afternoon.
